Allthough many could say that Adobe Photoshop is way too complex to use it to create web banners, many would rather stop working than using any other DTP software. So let's see how we can create a banner for a automotive website.

Easy magazine cover in Photoshop

It's so easy to create a magazine cover with Adobe Photoshop that anyone can understand the process from the screenshots alone, without any explanations. Allthough it's quite simple and straight forward, you will need to already know few things such as isolating an image from the background.

You should read the tutorial on isolating an image first, if you have no clue how to do it. After that, you will know everything you need to know in order to create a magazine cover.

Now let's try to create a cover for a photography related magazine.

For this tutorial I used mostly the Clone, Dodge and Burn tools to achieve the effect. I'm sure it could get much better, but what matters is the way to do it. You can notice how Burn and Dodge tools help creating a drama effect on any picture, so don't be afraid to use them. A good thing would be to duplicate your image before starting to apply all effects, just in case you mess up and need to restart all over again. Enjoy the video.

Not that Photoshop don't have a wide range of selection tools available, but there are times when they are just not enough. Many times you can use a Polygonal Lasso or Magic Wand or Quick Selection Tool, but what do you do when you need to isolate a person, a tree or something like that? How do you select the space between branches, leafs or hair? Lucky for us, there is a way to do it without too much hassle and I'm going to show you how.

Realistic water reflection with Photoshop

This is not something you can with Adobe Photoshop in one minute, but it's pretty fast and the result is so close to reality that you won't see anything unusual. It's all about combining the right filters in the right order and of course, it's easy to achieve this effect. On larger images looks even better, but for the sake of this tutorial I used a rather small image to fit in the pages of the website. So, let's see how Photoshop can help us...

Picture to drawing with Photoshop in less than a minute

This is the easiest effect to achieve with Adobe Photoshop if you know what to do. You can transform any photo you wish into a drawing in just several seconds. I guarantee it will take more to read this tutorial than to do it. The end result is quite remarcable. Of course you can take the effect a little bit further and turn the image into a painting, but I will stop at the drawing effect.

Rain with Photoshop in under a minute

Of course there are thousands of tutorials on the net to show you how to create rain, but I didn't find any that fast as my technique and with my twist. The twist is that you can change the feeling of any photo at the same time. Oh... and it's fast... really fast. It's all about applying one brush, one layer style, one effect and one blending mode. As usual, since I am one of the laziest persons alive, I find a way to pass all the hard work to Photoshop and me just to press few buttons along the way to achieve the effect. Curious about how can you do it in Adobe Photoshop? Read further then.

Cool and simple way to present your photos in Adobe Photoshop

This is simple to do and it shouldn't take you more than few minutes. The end result is neat, but it don't work with just any type of photo. In my opinion it works best with people's photos, so let's see what is all about...

First we need 2 documents open: one with the photo and the other one with a digital camera. In the document with the photo, duplicate the background and turn off the top layer for now. To the bottom layer apply a Gaussian Blur.
