Brush preset with Photoshop in under a minute
Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 12:54PM
We all use Brushes, we look for new sets of brushes all over the net, but we can make our own Brush preset in under a minute. You don't believe me? Check it out... and look at the time ;)
Open a New document in Photoshop and make its background white. Grab the brush tool or pencil and draw several dots grouped together... some dots bigger than others... I usually use a 1 pixel brush or pencil (the following image is at 400% Zoom).

Select your creation and go to Edit menu - Define Brush Preset.

Give it a name.

Go to the Brush palette and the last one should be your new brush.

Use it.

How long its been? 1 minute? Less?

Hi,
Thanks for the information. Lie you I am not a professional at photoshop and I am trying to learn. Cn you answer a question for me please? How can I group specific brushes that I use most into one "set" so they all appear in the drop down menu? thanks for your time. I don't know how you get anwers but if you could email that would be helpful :)
NR
that is easy. go to menu in Edit - Preset Manager, then a new window will pop up. you will have a drop down menu with Brushes, Swatches, Gradients, Styles, etc. Select Brushes (which is selected by default anyway), select multiple brushes by holding down Ctrl and when you're done click on the Save Set button. That's it! Works the same for Patterns, Styles, etc.

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your thoughts? I mean, what you say is important and everything. But its got no punch, no pop! Maybe if you added a pic or two, a video? You could have such a more powerful blog if you let people SEE what youre talking about instead of just reading it.
[PhD Nutrition] Pharma Whey: I agree completely with Mike. Strawberry tastes odd, it has a very bitter edge when used with water, for no apparent reason. Maybe some of their extra chemicals are giving it a harsh after-taste. Tastes better with milk, but not fantastic. The strawberry y does froth up loads after 5 seconds of shaking. You have to wait a while for it to settle before you can drink it like a normal shake. Try Boditronics Express Whey in chocolate. It s not amazing, but it s very easy to drink and mixes well.
